• Holding an analogous executive post in the pre-revised ₹16,000–20,800 scale in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering of a Major Port.
• Superintending Engineer or equivalent in the ₹13,000–18,250 scale with at least 3 years of regular continuous service in the grade.
• Superintending Engineer with 2 years of regular service in the grade and a combined 7 years of regular service in the ₹10,750–16,750 and ₹13,000–18,250 scales.
